When I try to think of material that could come close to the constitution of a person made up of a soot, the idea of sticking it in doesn't really make me all that eager. I either imagine banging something cloudlike or some kind of coarse black foam.

Ha, an interesting question. I don't think so. In the very first challenge shadowmaster & face were seperated and each face had to find their respective master. Kate felt a little gloomy, but she was still as sharpwitted as ever. Same with all the others. So it does seem once they've mimicked someone, they don't revert back.

I was interested to see if the torturous & traumatic experience of the twins would influence their respective shadowforms, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything except make them mildly annoyed about the prospect of their very own faces being ruined.
